Work underway on new homes in Ings

  • Work underway on new homes in Ings

Construction work is well underway at a development of 65 brand new homes on Perivale Close in Ings, Hull, from house builder Compendium Living.

Named The Leeway, the overall project will transform this part of the city and will provide a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes, in the first phase of the development.

Appointed by Hull City Council as Lead Developer Partner for the regeneration of Ings, Compendium Living is working with its construction partner, Lovell to transform the area into a new suburban neighbourhood, which will create a more attractive, safe and popular place to live.

Over the next 15 years, the development will see a total of more than 700 attractive, modern and environmentally friendly homes built, as well as providing good links to surrounding facilities and services for the local community.

Dave Bullock, Managing Director at Compendium Living, said: “We are excited to have started work at Ings and we anticipate the first homes will be available for sale from late August this year.

“The first phase of the build will see land transformed into 65 much needed attractive, energy efficient and high quality homes, which we expect to be very popular. The site will comprise an excellent mix of designs and home sizes to suit a variety of buyers.

“In addition to building homes and creating new places, we also try to ensure we use local suppliers where we can, and create jobs for local people too. In fact we already have provided a number of training opportunities and apprenticeships on this first site, which means that our investment is providing a direct boost to the local economy.”
